Velvet Revolver ‘Dirty Little Thing’

RCA RECORDS

A muscled-up locomotive takes Velvet Revolver around a wild world of hand-drawn animation.

The music of Velvet Revolver powers a locomotive around the world, seeing the sights (and women) in Tokyo, London, New York, and Vegas before ending up in Hollywood. Motion Theory directed both the video's live action and animation, using the illustrations of Rockin' Jellybean as a jumping-off point, then enlisting L.A.-based Kachew to draw the animated sequences. Everything inside the train is live action, while everything in the outside world is animation, including the band for the song's final moments. From the beginning, the idea was to use live action for everything inside the train, and animation for the outside world - and to make all of it the essence of sexy rock-n-roll.
