Directing duo Akama was formed in 2004 when Alexandre Ada and Cedric Jeanne combined forces based on a shared love of science and art. The pair, both French natives, began experimenting with music videos, video game trailers and short films before focusing their attention on directing in the commercial realm.  

With backgrounds in design and a knack for comedy, Akama has dazzled clients such as Lacoste, Peugeot, Nescafé, and Kit Kat with their polished imagery, cartoonish humor and creative initiative. Several of their spots, including “Fight for Kisses” for Wilkinson, “The Ultimate Break” for Kit Kat and “Hedgehog for Volkswagen, have earned recognition from Cannes, Epica, Eurobest and many other festivals.

In addition to directing whimsical Pixar-caliber character animation, Akama is skilled at mixing live action film with 3D, VFX and motion graphics. Ambitious both aesthetically and technically, Akama is ever-evolving to remain on the cutting edge of commercial filmmaking.
